Just putting it out there… I ran my 3rd Half Marathon yesterday and feel really good about my run. First half where I didn’t have to walk at all and even with injuries through out the whole training period I cut off 5 minutes from last years time. Sooo, I really really want to do a full marathon. A friend of mine wants to wait until 2015, I don’t want to wait that long. I am thinking next years Richmond Full Marathon November 2014. I am not getting any younger.
So my goal is to do some major cross training this winter to strengthen my core etc… I really need to lose some more weight, I lost 30 pounds a couple of years ago and have not been able to lose anymore. I really need to get at least 20 more pounds off of me as I know this will really help my running and help with these constant injuries I am getting.
I am thinking if I can really put my head in the game and work hard over the winter and get rid of the weight I am going to register for the full.
I want this peeps. Am I being stupid!
Soooo, haven’t posted but have been stalking all the awesomeness. PT has told me not run for the last 9 days… 9 days peeps. Do you know what kind of torture that is? Trying to get my legs to behave so I can run the Richmond 1/2 tomorrow. Feeing good but having to roll the crap out of my IT band and some muscle in my ass… yeah, I am not very scientific. Have you ever had to foam roll and you hit that spot and you start to sweat and feel like you could vomit? Yeah, great feeling. Anywho, I am super nervous about running tomorrow without any running for the last 9 days, did I tell you, 9 DAYS! PT promises me I will be fine as I put in the training. Well we shall see!!!
