Haven’t posted much due to injury and trying to figure out what is going on. I also have Achilles tendinitis. Had my first PT session yesterday. Started with heat therapy followed by ultrasound. Next was massage and I was all oh yeah until she started. Holy Hades, I almost threw up. She started working int the muscle and it was agony. I knew my leg was tight but goodness. She also did a gait analysis and I am a heel striker. We will work on getting me to land mid foot. I am being faithful on the stretching and excersises she gave me. Note, when hubby is holding rubber and away from you don’t let it slip off you foot. I laughed so hard I was crying. He makes the kids hold it now! I am clear to run as long as I pay attention and really stretch. Looking forward to upping the mileage. I was also told how much I would benefit from cross training, I know I know not the first time I have heard this, so I joined a gym. I swam nationally all through middle and high school and really want to get back in the pool.
Need to get my eating back on track again. Portions have been getting bigger again and all the crap is being consumed. I got a bit depressed over my leg and not being able to run and stopped worrying about eating. Guess what, crap in makes you feel like crap. Shocker I know. Back on track now and feeling good!
I know half of you don’t know I exist but I am so inspired by your daily lives and your fitness journeys! Keep it up peeps, you inspire people even if you don’t know it.
